I graduated from Emerson College with a bachelor's in print and multimedia journalism program. I have worked in a variety of ways for the Boston Globe -- as a researcher, an intern, a correspondent for the op-ed, metro and city weekly sections, and a political blogger for the editorial page. In 2007, I was selected to the Nation Institute Internship program where I co-authored the "Sweet Victories" column wth Katrina vanden Heuvel, which covered successes in the progressive movement. I am currently a correspondent for the Globe's metro section.
I was a finalist for Writer of the Year for the Association of Young Journalists and Writers in 2006. In 2007, I was featured in Emerson College's Expression magazine's "Who's who" in politics in 2007. In 2008, I was nominated for Weekly Journalist of the Year from the New England Press Association; I also won first prize for best history reporting, and other awards for best transportation and economic reporting.
I am earning a Master's of Science in International Relations from the John McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies at UMass Boston; My research focuses on the media and the Middle East.
