The dismissal of the US attorneys controversy is indeed an unsettling series of events, but is it really the one the Democrats should pursue against Bush with the most vigor?
Compare this ordeal with some of the other crimes of the Bush administration -- lying in order to bring a country to war, manipulating intelligence, paying off journalists in Iraq and the US, wiretapping Americans illegally, and institutionalizing torture -- and one has to wonder why we wouldn't see the most scrutiny on these far more egregious offenses.
